The place where we used to hang out from morning till late evening. Unfortunately, it was closed down in 2006 due to some mysterious reasons.
For the “bridgers” like us, we mourn the loss.
For the newer entrants of JU, they don’t know what they miss.
But a little secret, we still manage to get on the bridge by
taking a little risk. By climbing over the railings.
The bridge does not leave the “bridger”.
My sweetheart
This was our convocation day, 24th december 2007. I got my M.A. degree and Tamanna got her B.A. degree. Tamu was not too happy with her orange-bordered sari as it was not as good as others. And to top it all, her orange robe was not clean. But for me, she was the most beautiful.
Me and my Paranoia
Yesterday, I saw an accident. This is the third accident that i have seen after coming to Chennai. I am paranoic about the rash driving in Chennai and the accidents which subsequently occur. Chennai is too fast-paced, I feel. Or it may be that the place I am currently staying in is always in a mad-rush.
The speed of the vehicles make me very tensed. I have left my parents at home in Cal and I always think about them. In Calcutta, people don’t drive so fast. The accidents that occur are mainly due to the rush between the buses or a lorry. If the pedestrian is a bit careful, he would be unhurt.
What I feel is that every locality in Chennai should have a 24-hour ambulance service specifically to come to the help of the accident victims. Yesterday, when I saw people attending to the victim, I felt he should rather have been taken to the hospital.
Life is more valuable than anything, so lets make ours and others a safer life.
Movies and books make my world. I am a film student. I am currently trying to make a whole collection of Kieslowski’s films, Wim Wender’s films, Wong Kar-wai’s films, Kim Ki-duk’s films, Chaplin’s films and Tarkovsky’s Solaris and Ivan’s childhood(others I already have). Oh! I am search for Antonioni’s films also.
Another favourite passion is to watch music concerts and experimental theatre.
Film-making is my hobby.
I am also interested in doing researches in Film.
I like animals.
I am crazy about discovering new eateries. Basically, I spend a lot of time dreaming about food.
